A new venture into technology

Late Thursday evening, July 12, 2012

During the years when Royce and I were working/volunteering at National Parks, I used to send travel updates about our adventures.  Some of you have mentioned that you miss the epistles.  Others were glad that I discontinued them.  Being prone to believe the more positive comments, I have decided to start a blog so those who missed the updates can check out the blog.  Those who prefer not to read my ramblings will not be bothered with unwanted mail in their in box.
Please be patient with me as I learn this new technological wonder.  I will appreciate your comments, good or bad.

We have spent the last two weeks at our RV in Houghton Lake, MI enjoying being with two of my sisters.  Tomorrow, (Friday the 13th, yikes) we head back to our home for four days of frantic activity including meetings, laundry, shopping, packing, graduation parties, memorial service, replacement of my special crown with the Swedish flag tattooed on it, hair appointment and possible visits with friends.

On Wednesday, July 18 we will hitch up or little Aliner Camper and head to the Canadian Maritime Provinces.  When I can get Internet service I will try to update you on our experiences.

When Royce and I married on August 19, 1967 I promised that I would go wherever he went like Ruth promised her mother in law.  Well, here we go together.

  2. Cannot imagine who would have felt that you were clogging up their mailboxes! You know how much I am looking forward to hearing of your adventures ---- the planned ones and especially the unplanned ones! ; ) God bless you and be with you as you travel! Joanna

    1. Who? My kids! They said I wrote too much and then told them on the phone what I had written. Nuts to them!
I really need to go to bed or I am going to be a zombie tomorrow while I try to do six days of work in one day to be ready for Wednesday morning.

  3. Good to hear from you Jackie. We are looking forward to our visit to Houghton Lake the end of the month. It will be short; two days of driving, one day in Reed City and one day to relax.
